- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to her own parish-priest. When the marriage is over they return to the bridegroom's house and have a wedding. The wedding is attended by all their friends and neighbours. There is great feasting and dancing on that night. From this on the bride and bridegroom live together. Some few weeks after the marriage the bride's mother pays a visit to the bride and "brings the bed" This means that she brings a tick of feathers, a bolster, two small pillows and some blankets. The bride does not return to her parent's house for a month. If she did it is supposed that she would have bad luck. She generally comes back on the first Sunday when the month is up. This occasion is known as the "hauling home."
