- Hemlock: If a person has boils the best cure for them is Hemlock which is got growing on the bank of a stream. It is boiled and prepared but before it is brought into the house the person to whom it must be applied must go out. This is counted as one of the cures for boils.
Bog-onions: If a person sprained his ankle bog-onions are a good cure for it. They are found growing in a bog or marshy place. They are then stripped of their outer coat and put into spring water for a few days. Then they turn into jelly and are rubbed into the sore part and they are a great cure for sprains and hurts.
Bog-moss: If a person had swollen feet it is a good cure to wash the feet in water that would have bog-moss boiled in it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
