- Long ago there were three saints in Clondagad. Their names were St. Scriobhan, St. Neadáin and Saint Fiddaun.
They said that the three of them could not stay there and they cast lots. They threw sheaves out on the water and the sheaf they would go with the current, that would be the be the Saint that would stay there. So it was Saint Scriobhans sheaf that went with the current, and he remained there. Then Saint Neadáin went to Tubber and Saint Tiddaun came to Caherea.- Bailitheoir
