Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago it is said there lived in a large cave a few hundred yards to the north of Clondagad bridge in the parish of Ballycorick in the County of Clare three saints. Their names were St. Scriobhan, St Naudan, and St Ruadh. After they had lived some time together a dispute arose between them, and they found they should separate.
They did not know where to go so they decided that Scriobhan would remain in the cave at Clondagad, and that Naudan, and Ruadh, should make two gads of rushes, and throw them into the water and that each of them should go in the direction his gad would go.
They threw out the gads, and Naudan's gad went against the current, and Ruadh's gad went with the current. Then Naudan went up the river, and finally put up at Tubbernaudan. Ruadh journeyed southwards and settled down near the village of Ballynacally. Since then the parish is called the, "meadow of the two gads" or(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
