“There was a man in Darragh Co. Clare long ago. He owned a hound and he went hunting one day.”
The hound saw a hare and she ran after it. The hound hit against a black stick in the bog and was killed. The man brought the hound home with him and skinned her. The man got the skin of the hound, tanned it and made a waistcoat out of it. He went hunting another day and he had two young hounds and the hounds saw another hare and ran after him. The two hounds were not fast enough to catch the hare and the waistcoat made of the hound's skin jumped off the man and caught the hare.- Bailitheoir
