- There is an old fort situated a short distance in from the bye road. It is in the farm of Tomas Hurley. It is surrounded by a high wall. Long ago a number of men were saving hay near the fort. They were making a tram of hay near it and it fell four times and they could not finish it.
About a week afterwards one ofthe men decided to root the trees in the fort and plough it. The man started to plough the fort and he rooted earth and stones. When he was finished he went home and he ate his supper. About ten o'clock he went to bed in the best of health and the next morning he was found dead.
