  1. In the penal th times there was a small church betwenn[sic] Dysart and Kilnamona .The Friars in Dysart used to say Mass there. There is not any sign of the Church there now and that is how the field got the name of Church field.
    There was a small Church in Kilcross and Mass was and Mass was celebrated there during the penal times. The ruins of it are still to be seen.
