    Ivy leaves when boiled in water are good for removing stains from blue clothes. Ivy used in the same manner is a cure for corns.
    The roots of "comphrey" when boiled are a cure for sick cattle.
    "Mach na Táthú" is poison. It grow on the banks of some rivers, sometimes cattle eat it and die. The English name for it is "hemlock".

    "Cumhnach Dearg" grows only in a poor place. Marshmallow when boiled is a cure for sprains. Ferns grow in poor land. Clover grows in good land. Comphrey makes a garden poor.

    "Torpín" is a cure for sore eyes.
    "Caiscrabháin" is good for pigs. It is also good for ducks. Many people pick it for pigs.

    Dog leaves grow in good land. Thistles in dry land.
