  1. On Saint Brigid's day it is a custom to put a ribbon on to the latch of the door and it would be an inch longer next morning. This ribbon is supposed to sure a headache. It is called "Brat Brighdhe"
    On St. Patrick's Day children wear shamrocks or harps and adults wear shamrocks also. In other counties people watch the cattle lest they should get drunk.
