- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)student and went off his head with studying too much. He was a very big fellow six feet tall and would go about the country side in his bare feet. He could recite some beautiful poetry such as "My Native Land Good-night". Then there were the McDonalds. McDonald and his wife. They would cause quiite a stir in the neighbourhood and the people from the villages would flock to hear them. McDonald possessed a very old violin. Some people said it was a real "Strad". Anyhow he could play it delightfully. My Mother said it was a treat to hear him play that old song called "My Old Kentucky Home Good-Night". His wife would sing this in a charming voice. They were supposed to be "Music Hall Artists". At all events they got a very good cordial welcome and people from miles around would flock to hear them play and sing.
