   There is an old rath in a field and there is a drain at the bottom of it, but it is dry now. One day two men were ploughing in this field. One of the men came round by the drain and a woman was sitting in it with three children and she was making porridge and she asked him for a pot-stick to stir it and he said he had none and passed on, and then the other man came round and she asked him for one and he broke the wooden handle of the plough and gave it to her and when the first man came round again there was no one there and his two horses dropped dead in the plough, but nothing happened to the other man.
