There are three families in the townland and ten people in all, and all the families are of different names.

The houses are all slated. I do not know how the townland got its name.
There are no old ruins. Some of the people emigrated to America. The land in the townland is very good. There are woods in the townland. - The townland I live in is called Rath. It is in the parish of Walshestown in the Barony of Ferrard. It is so called because there is a Rath in it.
There are five families and 25 people altogether and there is one old woman called Mrs Keenan and she is 75 years of age and she tells stories in English but not in Irish
The name most common is Campbell.
All the houses in Rath are slated.
