    he enjoyed immensely. I remember the big snow which began about 24th February 1933. Snow fell for about sixty hours without ceasing. The snow drifted with the result that it was mountain high in places and in some places people were without owing to the great depth of snow bredvans etc were unable to travel through the country areas. A number of people lost their lives during the storm cattle and sheep were lost. It was considered the worst snow storm for over 90 years.
