- Stories of Long agoIn the year of 1916 a rebellion took place in Dublin. It was between the British Forces and the Republican Army. It started in the G.P.O and in the attack a great many were killed and wounded. The fighting lasted for a week or so and a great many large buildings were wrecked and burned.
All roads to Dublin were blocked by falling trees and blown up bridges to prevent the British soldiers from bringing help.
