    At the time when Father Reynolds was priest in Kildalkey, there was one Lord Darnley living in Clifton.
    He was very cross, and hard, and was very much disliked by the people.
    He had one son, who in young man-hood died, just as bad as his father was. Some people say this son died, because of a course, Father Reynolds put on him, when Lord Darnley did something bad to him.
    However Father Reynolds one time came to the Landlord and said:
    "Would you ike to see your son."
    "I would", was the answer.
    Father Reynolds, prayed a while, suddenly a noise was heard.
    "Do you hear that noise," said the priest.
    "I do."
    "They are opening the chains." said the priest
    Again the priest prayed. A noise like before was heard.
    "Do you hear that noise." said the priest.
    "I do."
    "They are opening the gate," said the priest.
    Again the priest prayed. A noise the the third time
