- The nearest cow stables to us are Walkers there are eight milk cows whose names are,
Molly Kittie Mary Blacky Whitie Bány Betty
They are tied by the neck with chains in the cow sheds as they are called.
The cow sheds are big with air holes in the roof to let in the air.
Some cows are very easily milked whilst others are very hard.
Long ago the old people believed that the fairies came during the night and took the milk from the cows.
One night a very old man stayed up to watch what should happen.
About midnight a fairy came and without ever milking the cow he got the milk he disappeared in the shape of a hare.
If one wished for another not to have butter or milk it would come true long ago.- Bailitheoir
