    portion of the back wall and altar can still be seen as it has been preserved by the Board of Works. A little further away there is an old well called St. Patrick's well because the story says that the saint used it as a drinking place and left the marks of his fingers there. But at the present time it is covered with fern and bramble. There are a great number of people buried there, among them a Kings son.
    There is a true story told in connection with the buriel ground which happened about sixty years ago. At that time as we know medical science was not so far advanced as it now, and very often people died of a disease which the doctors were not able to diagnose.
    In order to enlighten themselves they hit upon the idea of digging up the body of the corpse and taking it to experiment upon, afterwards reburying it.
    They employed men to open the grave and lift the corpse these were called kidnappers. Of course as this was against the law the work had to be carried out at night.
