    to go to see the nice scenery in this parish. The two priests took a walk over to see Lake Derravaragh. They crossed the fields which was owned by a rich lady who lived in Collure at this time. The lady followed the priests to the lake, and fought with them for trespassing on her land. The priest took up a stone from the shore of the lake and let it fall from his hand in the form of water. This deed was to show what power the priest had. When she saw what power the priest had, she said she was very sorry but the priest it was no use. The priest said "your name will not be in this district in time to come".
    One day the lady ordered the coachman to yoke the carrige and drive her to the nearest town as she had some shopping to do, to his great surprise she was dead in the back of the carrige. People suffered much pain and torture during the penal times.
