- There are not as much old stories now as what there was some years ago. In olden times the old people were very good at telling stories.
There was once a boy and his father who lived together. Every Saturday evening the boy would go into the town and get meat. One Saturday he was delayed and his father was very hungry. When he came home they put down a great feed of the meat. There was little pieces of socks on the ground. The father said to the son give me a piece of that meat to be eating while the rest is frying. He picked up a piece of a sock from the floor and dipped it in the greace and gave it to his father.
