Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)of the fire. The bread was made with oatmeal and a pinch of salt and mixed with boiling water and sometimes lard was put in it to soften it. When it would be baked. It was put on a board and flattened out and cut in squares and baked on a pan or a griddle standing up against the fire and one handle to the back of it to keep it up. There are some used yet. Griddle bread was made of flour one teaspoonful of salt and the same of bread-soda and about a half pint of buttermilk. When there would be plenty of potatoes over after dinner the woman of that house would make potato cakes. Potato bread was made from boiled potatoes and flour. It was baked on a griddle or sometimes a pan. Boxty was made of mashed potatoes raw and mixed(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
