He searched about, and found an old bullock skin. He wrapped it round him, and he attached his dark lantern to the mouth of it. He made a terrible racket which awoke the servants. When they saw the apparition, they were scared. They opened the doors and ran out, and he went after them.
While he was inside a shower of hail fell. By means of their tracks he traced the robbers to the den. He found the two horses tied to a tree. He searched about, and found a cave. There was a window. He crawled up to it. They were dividing the spoils inside. He could hear them say they were going to retire, as they had enough to live on.
He clapped his two horns to the window. One of them looked around. When he saw the horns he thought it was the devil that was at the window. He told his companion, and they ran, and left money and horses behind.
The boy tied all on the two horses, and rode home to his father next morning.
