  2. Boys used not wear boots till they were ten years of age. Children go barefooted in Summer. The water is thrown out when people are finished with it. Some people wash there feet in potato water because they say it strengthens the feet. There are two shoemakers in this parish. There are no so many shoemakers now a days because there are more boot factories.

  3. The Local fairs are always held in the village. Buyers never transacted business in this locality. Fairs are not dis-continued in this district. Fairs were never held on hills, near castles or near forts. The fairs are held in the town streets. There is a market square in this town but it is not big enough to hod the fair. Toll is not paid. Luck money is given according to price of the beast. Parties show agreement by shaking hands animals are marked by clipping the hair. The biggest fair in this district is on the 29th of
