- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)thrown up out of a large hole that was dug during the night. The hole was about six yards long and two or three yards wide and about four feet deep. In the bottom was a mark of some flat substance like as if a board or flat stone was taken out of it and there was no other sign of anything being taken, but though the people around searched through the heap of clay they could get no trace of anything to correspond with the mark in the bottom of the hole. Although it is so long ago the remains of the heap of clay and the hole are there still.
- About seventy or eighty years ago when the people used to be digging the graves in the old churchyard in Killucan they used to collect the skulls and bones of the dead people and put them in the corner of the churchyard. One night there were a lot of bakers working in a bakery in Killucan and the conversation turned to ghosts. One of them said there was no such things as ghosts and he never believed any(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
