around him and pounding the hump that was on his back, singing “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday.” until they flattened the hump. Then they sent him on his way home. The man went on until he met his neighbor that had another hump on his back, who, hearing his good fortune of losing his hump in the “Fairies Circle” said he would try his luck too.
He went to the fort the next night and the fairies were singing “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday”. “Friday” said the man and into the circle he was marched where they kept beating his hump and singing “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday” until they pounded his neighbor’s hump on top of the one he had and they sent him on his way home.
