- My father's farm animals are - horses, an ass, cows, sheep and lambs.
The sheep are not put in a stable at night. They are fed outside with hay in sheep-rocks and they get oats and turnips in troughs.
The lambs are branded with tar, and tar is put on the backs of their necks to keep the fox away.
The (old) sheep are washed and shorn in the month of May. The wool is rolled in fleeces and sold in(continues on next page)- Collector
