    the historic Abbey of Tristernagh was built.
    The River Inny is in the district. The Mill River which turns the wheel of Rath Mill is in the townland. There are some thatched houses in the townland. There is a row of one storey slated houses which were built by the late Colonel Malone for his workmen.
    There are a few people of seventy living in the townland, their names are - Christopher Fagan, William Brown, Mrs. Duignam and Mrs. Beglan. None of them know Irish but "Kit" Fagan tells stories in English.
    Masterson is the most plentiful name in this townland.
