The view from Temple Patrick
Is a glorious sight to see.
Each missel thrush and blackbird
Are singing on each tree
The little town of Moyvore.
Their music it would fill
The echo of those charming notes
You can hear at Wyse's mill.
V
And not forgetting Killenboy
It's a pity that I should
A lovely girl came from that spot.
She's now in Dysart wood
Her father being a wealthy man.
Of him I say no more.
He's the biggest cattle dealer
That lives in Ballymore.
VI
Now Ballymacallen next in verse
And poor old Putchakan.
Its many a time I passed that way
All at an early dawn
And after leaving Shinglass
My legs were stiff and sore,
After dancing all the pretty girls
Round charming Ballymore.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
