- (V)There is a well in the townsland of Moyvoughley, parish of Ballymore and in the County West Meath. The well is called Rath Ranga. St Patrick called it this name. It is on the side of the road at the bottom of a hill. One day he was passing by it and he stopped to get a drink and to rest himself. He thought to himself that it would be a nice place to build a church. He started to lay out a foundation. While he was at it a red haired woman passed by and didn't say to him, " God bless the work ". When Patrick saw that the woman didn't say anything, he said to himelf that it was not a lucky place. He left it and went to Cashel in Munster where he baptized the King. The tracks of Patrick's knees are there yet where he knelt down to pray, and ever since the well is called after him.
