  1. "Festival Customs"
There are many festivals held in this country during the year and at those festivals the people have different customs. These customs have been handed down for generation to generation.
There are certain ones such as the Christmas, and Hallow E'en customs that have been preserved. But there are others that are almost forgotten.
At Christmas the custom is for boys to go around in the wren - boys. The boys dress up in old clothes and go round collecting money and making sport for the children.
Another custom is getting twelve small candles and giving one to every member of the house. Then the candles are lit and which ever one goes out first the person that owns it will be the fist to die.
Hallow E'en is another great festival. The people have great fun on that night. They play different games, such as "Who has the button", "Ducks Fly", "Blind man's bluff", and a lot of other.
May - day is also a great festival. Some person out of every house gets a furze bush. This is tied to the door and it is said to keep away the spirits for the rest of the year.
