- In the townsland of Kilmackinlan there was an old graveyard. It was the burial ground of all the people around. The graveyard was on the Longford road because the old road to Longford long ago came down that way. When the canal was made it was made through the graveyard and ever since then it was closed up. There is grass growing on it now and cattle are grazing on it. This old graveyard was never kept or preserved. Bishop Coleman was buired there. He lived at Stonepark Kenagh Often there were bits of bones dug up in it.
