- Once there was a man named Tom Gray. Nothing would frighten him. He used to fix boots at wakes. Once many men tried to frighten him so they made out that some man died. They left out a live man and held a wake. Tom Gray was at the wake and began to mend boots at the side of the bed. As he was mending them, the dead man said, "Dont be hammering in the presence of death". "Well if your dead don't be talking to me" said Tom Gray and he lifted up the hammer and have it to him between the teeth. He broke all the teeth in his head.
