- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)in another birds nest and when the cuckoo comes out the mother of the other birds feeds her and then she gets big and pushes out the other birds and gets fed until she gets big. How the wren became King was, the birds had a race one day and whoever would fly highest would be King. The Eagle was going highest but the wren jumped up on his back and got off at the top and went further than the Eagle, the birds were not satisfied with him and they were to drown him. They had no water. They all got round a basin and cried until it was full of tears but the owl came and spilt the tears and the birds said they would kill the owl but the owl never goes out but at night.
