Ar an leathanach seo
- Years ago before bridges were built the people coming to Lanesboro' from Connaught and people crossing from Lanesboro' to Connaught had to cross the Shannon by means of boats and fords. The present bridge was built in the year 1844. The present Road that leads to the once famous Castle and to Longford on the other hand did not go through Lanesboro'. They joined the Longford road near our school.
Also the road leading to Newtowncashel it one time was where the field now owned by Mr Patrick Farrell, Lanesboro'. There was once a road that cut through the back of the garden's in Lanesboro' and the present cemetery(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
