    The horse is housed in the stable. There is a manger or rack to hold his hay and a box out of which he eats his oats. He gets a mash made of bran and boiling water and he eats it out of the box too. The floor is paved with stones in case the horse might slip. He does all the farm work in the fields, he also has to carry many heavy loads.
