  1. Where James Reilly, Derrycasson now lives there once lived a family of Ledwidges. They were very poor, but yet had rich friends. One morning they decided to go out to their rich friends to get some measure of relief, there been not a bite to eat in the four walls of the house. He decided to go to his friends and she to hers. So they started off. In the evening he returned and when he entered the cabin to his great surprise he beheld a hundred of meal seated on the floor "Be gorra", says he, she did well" Soon after she returned and upon entering she too beheld the hundred of meal on the floor. "Be gorra, says she you did well" "But you did well" says he "But you did well says she" I got nothing, says he and I got nothing says she. But yet there was the hundred of meal.
