Long ago there were two giants one lived in Dalystown and the other in Carrickduff no Carraig dubh as it was called they were always quarrelling with one another.
It so happened that one day they agreed to have a battle.
Each giant stood on a hill about a mile apart and the weapons they used were very strong slings and out of these slings they fired huge rocks at one an other.
It is believed that these are the rocks which are still to be seen on the lands of Michael Reddy Dalystown where one giant is supposed to have stood.
The other rocks are to be seen on the lands of David Jones Carrickduff Granard where the other giant stood.
