- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)There are two very old roads in this district namely the Clough road and the Ballinulty road or better known as the Ballinulty pass way.
This road leads from Purth school to Edward Drake's Carrick duff.
They are both still used.
These roads were made as to give employment to the people during the Famine years.
It is said that these men worked for about sixpence a day.
there is one mass path in this district and it leads from Clough to Carra Church. This path goes by the name of the valley of the black pig.
There is an old custom connected with a four crossroads as the old saying is "a crowing hen and a whistling woman should be left at the four crossroads".- Bailitheoir
