The Battle of ClonfinBrave Irish men
Met at Clonfin
And grasped each others hands
And swore they would see
Old Ireland free
And shoot the Black and Tans. But a mine well set
Dont you forget
The lorries soon came down
At the cadets hole
Fell over each other roll
The forces of the crown.Loud were the cheers
Of the volunteers
When the cracking did begin
For the English chaps
Lost their tossly caps
At the battle of Clonfin. An officer were soon knocked out
And two of his best men
And two more died in hospital
Since the battle of Clonfin.(continues on next page)- Collector
