Weather Lore My father believes more in the signs of the heavens and the ways of the animals on the farm than he believes in radios or weather guides.
A circle around the moon is a sign of a storm. The further away the circle is from the moon the nearer is the storm and when the circle is near to the moon the further away is the storm.
Before a storm the animals feed along a big hedge. My father said that the signs in the sky last week was a sign of storm and and there was a storm of sleet and rain after that.
An eclipse on the moon is a sign of good weather.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
