- There was a big stone at Lough Gowna one time. It was for bringing coffins across to the Island. That Island is where people were buried. People put the coffin on the stone and it went across to the Island. One time a boy and a girl went out on the stone and it broke in two halves. The boy was drowned and the girl was saved.
