- There is a swallow hole in Killeny and ends in Ballnakill. One day a man put tow cart wheels into it to swell the timber. The wheels disappeared and he found them in Ballynakill a distance of about two and a half miles away. A girl went to this hole one day for two gallons of water. She put both gallons in together. As they were filling they dragged her in and she was never seen or heard of again.
