- There was a man one time and he was very poor. One morning when he was going to work he found a half-crown on the road. He found one in the same place, every morning for months after. At last he could keep it to himself no longer, so he told his wife. He never found anymore money and one morning years after, he met a little man where he used to find the money. The little man said "If you had not told about the money, you would be a rich man to-day, but because you told about it you will always be poor.
