- (continued from previous page)every jump that the horses did. When they came to a big river the horses jumped it and the calf followed them. Then the man said "Well talk or no talk that's the best jump I ever seen a calf doing". With that he was left sitting in the river and he had to walk home.
- There's a well in our field called Aughavarron well. There is a story told about this well. One day a woman washed clothes at it, and it went dry and sprung up in another part of the field. It was never known to go dry since.
