- Worm CureThere is a woman by the name of Keeley that cures worm fever.
She cures with an herb called the Canavan-beg. This is how she does it. She searches in a field for the herb and pulls it in the name of the child that is affected with the worms.
Then she rubs the herb in her hand, and if a froth comes on the herb the child has the worm fever. She then pounds the herb and gets the juice and puts it in a bottle. The child has to be rubbed nine times every morning - on the forehead, heart, palms of hands and soles of feet.
The child is soon well.Padraig O Muirgheasa
