“Well you asked me for a story; here is one.”
The castle was up the field (on Mr. Byne's land Doonooney, Admastown, Co Wexford) was supposed to be a great burying place.
Some people said they would go to dig.
They dug and dug 'till they came to something hard.
Well this alarmed them, and they saw something shiny.
They found a candlestick that would hold seven candles.
They lit the candles that night and fairies danced around it.
The house became haunted so the candlesticks was brought back and was buried in the castle again.
Some time after a man went to dig there.
He found bones; so no one ever went to dig there since. It is said that there are seven graves near the castle. There is money in each one of them(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
