    Local histories of The Red Branch Knights, the heroes of the Fianna and ancient Irish Kings and warriors who lived before the coming of the English.
    (I) In one of his hunting expeditions the great Fionn Mach Cumhaill is supposed to have passed over the White Mountain, on the top of which are mounds composed of stones and called "The Brans".
    There are three in number and his famous hunting dog, "Bran" is commonly believed to have jumped from one (?) other of these.
