John Morre died on a loft in Cornmarket, Wexford and his body was removed to Caruagh Graveyard by his brother Michael, and there a tomb was erected to his memory.
At one time a party from Slevoy Castle (founded by the Rossiters of Slevoy), attempted to destroy this tomb, but were frustrated. Michael Moore then had the stone taken down by and placed flat on the grass.
The present John Moore is grand-nephew to the man who lies in Caruagh Graveyard.
