Churning
“Long ago and in some places yet there was a churn used called the dash churn...”
Long ago and in some places yet there was a churn used called the dash churn. Reaves has one. It is like a barrel and about 3-1/2 ft high. There is a lid that fits down on it and a hole in the middle of it.
Before they churn they give it a thorough rinsing with boiling water. When the churn cools they throw in the cream and then puts in the dash and runs the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
