- The Magpie.
A magpie builds her nest on the top of a white - thorn bush. She builds with small bits of sticks, and lines her nest with mud.
The Wren.
The wren is a very small bird and is called the King of all Birds. She builds her nest in a little thick bush. She makes a round nest all of moss, and leaves one hole in the side of it. The wren lays about ten eggs.
The Wood - pigeon.
A wood - pigeon builds in an ivy tree. She makes her nest of heath out of the bog. Two eggs are the most these birds lay. Those are pure white with no spots.
The Grouse.
The grouse lives on top of the bog. Its colour is black. When it is calling it seems to say "Go back, Go back." It also laughs the same way as you would yourself.
