Ar an leathanach seo

    of the floor as there was a big family in every house. The tables long ago were hung against the wall called a "falling table" and some remains in the houses still.
    The bread was a black colour not as white as it is now as they did not know how to mill the flour properly. Bacon was the most regular meet used as it was able to stand the longest and people didn't care much for any other at that time.
    Cabbage was a every day meal along with potatoes and Bacon. Nettles were also eaten. Nettles are not eaten so much nowadays.
    Old people were very fond of eating before they would go to bed, it would not be tea, but potatoes and salt.
    Pan cakes used to be held in great honour in ancient times.
